Estella took the pins from her mouth. “Why not?”
Ivy lay her hands over the bulge of her belly, over the skirt Estella had made to accommodate her growing waist. The fabric was orange. “I look like a pumpkin!”
“You do not!” Pearl said. “It’s a nice fall color.” Vinca and Nel nodded in agreement.
“It’s a fall color because pumpkins are ripe in the fall,” Ivy mumbled. Pippin came into the parlor. “What do I look like, Pippin?”
He looked her up and down and grinned. “A pumpkin?”
Angry eyes glared at him. “Pippin!”
