Éowyn shivered and wrapped her arms around herself. Even in the uncomfortable heat of an Ithilien spring, she felt cold. Her husband put his arms around her from behind, holding her tight in his comforting embrace.
"I'm a coward, Faramir," she whispered, her voice shaking.
Her turned her to face him and cupped her cheek in his hand. "You're not a coward," he said.
"I gave up my daughter, because it was easier than--."
"You did what's best for your daughter," he said. "You did what's best for Ivy though it hurts you deeply. You're the bravest woman I know."
